    Description

    MASON'S PATENT NOV 30TH 1858 JAR MADE BY HERO GLASSWORKS. These jars marked with the "maltese cross" symbol, were manufactured by the Hero Glassworks/Hero Fruit Jar Company of Philadelphia, PA. On most jars the letters "H", "F", "J" and "Co" can be faintly seen within each arm of the cross. It has a ground lip and bubbles throughout the glass.
    The bottom of the glass has the manyfactured date of Nov 26th 1867. And a mold number of 192. I am adding a Ball zinc lid.
