Mid Century Wooden Waste Paper Basket by Norwood LTD.
This is a great Scandinavian wooden waste paper basket that was made in Thailand for Norwood LTD of Bergen, Norway. The basket is an oval shape with two wooden staves on either end which feature oval holes at the top of the extended stave. The wood is most likely teak with a cherry or dark wood toned finish. The piece has a small nick out on the top edge and some minor scuff marks on the rest of the body. The bottom edge shows some loss of the finish. Overall, it is still in very good condition. The wood is very thin, so it is not meant to carry anything too heavy.
The basket measures about 17.5 inches to the top of the stave, and measures about 13.75 tall in the middle of the basket. It measures 15 inches long and 8.5 inches wide.
