These rings were sold out of gumball machines in 1969 and never come up for sale as a complete set, and especially with the original ring bases. The ring is named a pop on ring by ring collectors. Pop on rings consist of a top piece with a hole molded into the back. You could then pop the top onto the nub of the ring base, and then pop it off again. That would also enable a kid to be able to switch different tops onto one ring base. The condition of these rings are in minty mint, uncirculated condition, as found in an untouched vending find. They were produced and distributed by the Knight Charm Corp, as written in the April 26, 1969 issue of Billboard newspaper, and named The Hobbit and Ring. I also show the writeup about these rings. Free shipping too.
