    Wood carved human portrait mask by Gary Rice of the NW Coastal Salish tribe. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
    The mask is titled "Human Portrait Mask" Kwa Guilth and signed by Gary Rice. The back of the mask has a leather tie and the mouth and eyes are open. The mask is in the style of the Kwakkiuti tribe who live in what is now British Columbia Canada. A portrait mask is a mask that depicts a human face instead of an animal or mythological being. The mask is for decorative use, not ceremonial use. Gary Rice crafts masks of different NW Coast tribes. Circa 1970's - 1980's. The mask was purchased new and has had only one owner.
