    Description

Now that I got your attention, I won't tease you any longer. It does have damage. It was dug next to a twin that was crushed under a large rock at the bottom of a stone lined privy. I suspect same rock clipped this gem and chipped the lip. If that wasn't bad enough, it created one crack extending from the chip to the base edge. A second crack curves a couple inches under the lip away from the chip. As thick as this jar is, it must have been one heck of a landing by the rock! Other than the chip, it is all there and near as I can figure out it is unlisted, at least according to my outdated Red Book #9. Nearest I could come to was RB# 2752 or 2753. Problem is, it is a pint(ish) size and NOT pontiled! Literally everything in this pit was pontiled except the two jars! This jar screams pontil era and with the smooth base creates a mystery. Also the two listed variants of this style are not listed in pint size. Jar is 5 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" diameter at base for reference. So this may be a missing link for the many variants of this company's jars. Likely you don't have one and need this one! Well, here it is until a better one shows up, in 2055! It has become time for me to thin out my collection and none of these listed today have ever been on the market before, having been dug by me and in my possession. Please feel free to ask any questions and know I will guarantee satisfaction for any or no reason or full refund. Check out my 100% positive feedback comments. I will combine shipping where feasible. No reserve, and thanks for looking.
